Frequently asked questions
Your data
Where are my teams saved?
In the browser you're using, on this device. Teams and lineups are saved automatically as you work, and nothing is sent to a server. They stay after you close the tab or restart the device.
Why don't I see my teams on my phone or in another browser?
Each browser on each device keeps its own copy, so other browsers and devices don't see your teams. To get a team onto another device, share it with a link or export it.
What can delete my teams?
Clearing your browser's browsing data or site data for this site deletes them. Private or incognito windows forget everything when they're closed. Deleting a team from the team menu removes it right away.
How do I back up my teams?
Open the team menu (top right) and choose Export team for the current team, or
Export all teams. This downloads a .json file you can keep anywhere. Use
Import in the same menu to restore it.
Moving and sharing teams
How do I move a team to another device or send it to another coach?
Choose Share team link in the team menu, then copy the link or use Share… to send it
by text, email or chat. Opening the link on the other device offers to import the team. You can also
export a .json file and import it on the other device.
Is the team uploaded anywhere when I share a link?
No. The team is stored inside the link itself, after the #, and browsers don't send that part
to any server. But anyone who has the link can open it and see the team and player names.
What does the passcode do?
With a passcode, the team is encrypted in your browser before it goes into the link. The person opening the link has to enter the passcode to import it. Send the passcode separately, for example say it or text it in another app, and use at least 6 characters.
What happens if I import a team that already exists?
You choose. Override replaces your existing team that has the same name. Add keeps your team and adds the imported one as a new team. A shared link is a one-time copy, so to update another device, share the team again and choose Override there.
Planning lineups
How do I move or sub players?
Tap a player to select them, then tap an empty spot to move them or tap another player to swap. Subs wait in the gray box under each field: tap a sub, then a field player, to swap them. The button in the top bar opens a quick tour that shows all of this.
Why are there four quarters?
AYSO games are played in quarters, and many programs want each player to play a fair share of them. Each lineup has its own Q1 to Q4.
What do the red rows in the table mean?
The table counts the quarters each player is on the field. A red row means that player has played at least two quarters fewer than the player who played the most.
Can I start from a formation?
Yes. Tap the button on a quarter (or right-click the field on a computer) and pick a 7v7, 9v9 or 11v11 formation. The same menu copies or swaps quarters.
Can I print the lineup?
Yes. Use your browser's print command. The page prints the four quarters and the table without the menus.
